K A Y A K | River of Golden Dreams. I loved kayaking this river from, Alta Lake. This is suited to beginners as the river helps you along. Start your adventure by hiring canoes or kayaks from the Lakeside Park Watersports Centre on Alta Lake
V I S I T | Pemberton which has Mount Currie soaring 7800 vertical feet from the valley floor to the summit in sheer cliffs. I can stare in awe at this beauty for a whole day! Know as Ts'zil in the St'at'imcets language. If your feeling really fit try hiking it!
M U S E U M | Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre. Learn about the two First Nations communities that lived in the area.
| Audain Museum is beautifully designed in amongst magnificent evergreen trees. Loved discovering the works of canadian artists #EmilyCarr and #E.J.Hughes.
C H I L L | Scandinave Spa is a silent outdoor spa with heated walkways nestled on the edge of the #LostLakePark with the gorgeous scent of the #spruce and #cedar forest around you. This place will blow your freaking mind its so gorgeous. To top it off you'll be invigorated after a day of skiing ready to hit the slopes again! An unforgettable experience. I think its reasonably priced too.
S H O P | 3 Singing Birds is a wonderful shop supporting all the local makers that live in the area. and they have this map to buy! Whoop.
H I K E | Wedgemount Lake is one of the most difficult in Garibaldi Provincial Park, with an elevation gain of more than 1100 meters in just 7km. However, the spectacular alpine scenery makes the grueling trek well worth it.
H I K E | Russet Lake is a beautiful alpine lake at the base of Fissile Peak in the backcountry of Garibaldi Provincial Park. This trip is well suited for two nights but can be accomplished in a full day without a pack. Distance: 25 km. Elevation gain: 570m.
S K I | Ski world class Whistler Blackcomb make sure to take the 3km Gondola across. Don't look down!!
H I K E | Black Tusk is the dark, jagged peak you can see from all directions! I spent the night camping at Taylor meadows and then headed up to Black Tusk via panorama ridge. Its a beauty!
| Cheakamus Lake is one of the easier hikes in Garibaldi Provincial Park, offers beautiful views of a turquoise lake surrounded by towering mountains and lush forests.
D R I V E | Sea To Sky Highway from Vancouver is a breathtaking road. I cycled it last summer so I have had the pleasure of seeing it car free. On that note I can really recommend cycling the @grandfondo it is not as intimidating as it sounds.
S K I | Callaghan Valley, AMAZING 130km of groomed cross-country trails. A sight to behold with jaw dropping views of the mountains. If you want a bit of adventure/luxury, ski to Journeyman Lodge a full-service back-country chalet set deep in the heart of Whistler’s Callaghan wilderness, 13.5 kilometres from the nearest road! FYI It has a sauna!!!!
E A T | Creekbread Delicious organic wood fired pizza located in the heart of Creekside, amazing vegan options.
C O F F E E | Function Junction. Escape the village and hang out enjoying great coffee, food and shops in what reminds me of an Alpine hipster East London.
